Royal Gold Coco and Soil

All of Royal Gold Coco is imported from Sri Lanka and shipped to Arcata, CA where we process it with the utmost care. We understand the value of this renewable resource and know how to treat the fiber without damaging it. First, the coco bricks are processed into fine grinds with our new cutting edge equipment. Then, a unique hydration process begins which ensures the material is properly Ph balanced and the salinity is at a minimum. Next, we lower the ppm to 100 which is extremely low for industry standards. Finally, we add the highest quality compost tea and a unique biological control that eliminates the chance of unwanted soil born bugs. These steps combined add to higher yields, better flavor, with greater consistency in finished product.

Mendo Mix

Royal Gold Mendo Mix was originally developed with the dry outdoor conditions of Mendocino County, California in mind. This mix is heavily charged with organic nutrient and has greater water retention than most soils. Ready to use straight out of the bag, Mendo Mix supplies all the organic nutrition your plant will need. The sweetest tasting fruit can be achieved by using water alone. However, the highest yields have been produced by using supplements with veg and bloom enhancers. Longer season plants will require increased feedings of complete nutrient as growth increases. Some gardeners choose to “top-dress” with this mix as well. Be sure to mulch the top layer to increase water retention. Mendo Mix also works great when mixed with clays or sandy soils.

Although the Mendo Mix was designed to be used outdoors, gardeners have enjoyed success in greenhouses and indoors. Because of its superior water retention, feeding indoors will be less frequent. The size of the plant and the size of the container it is in will determine how often it will need to be watered. Royal Gold Mendo Mix will outperform all its competitors in transition, growth, yield and quality of fruit!

Basement Mix

Royal Gold Basement Mix is unlike any other potting soil on the planet! Developed through years of research, and perfected in Humboldt County, California, Basement Mix is the highest quality soil mix on the market. Each unique component has been hand selected to ensure the highest quality and consistency. Only lightly charged with organic nutrients, this mix allows the gardener to feed often, supplying all major NPK with any complete nutrient system. (Cutting Edge Solutions, Botanicare, House and Garden, BioBizz, Advanced Nutrients, etc.)

Although Basement Mix was originally developed for “slow drip” drain to waste systems, gardeners have enjoyed success using several other gardening techniques including ebb and flow or top feeding in beds or containers of any size. Royal Gold Basement Mix has also been known to grow large “smiles” throughout Northern California and Colorado!! NOW AVAILABLE ON THE EAST COAST

Coco

Loose Coco can be used in Hydroponics, pots and containers, beds and most other growing techniques. Seedlings, cuttings, and rooted clones thrive in Royal Gold Coco! Start your plants off with a wet to dry schedule. After plants are established, feedings can increase. Root bound pots can be fed 1 to 6 times a day (depending on size of plant and size of container it is in). Be sure to feed often at the recommended application rate from any complete nutrient system. It is recommended that you use either a coco specific nutrient or supplement Calcium and Magnesium as coco soils use this at a higher rate!

Turpur

Royal Gold Tupur was developed with one idea in mind-Feeding the plant as much and as often as possible! This high porosity mix allows the gardener to feed often, supplying all major NPK with any nutrient system ( Cutting Edge Solutions, Botanicare, House and Garden, Advanced Nutrients, BioBizz, etc). Although it was created for “slow drip” drain to waste systems, gardeners have enjoyed success in conventional and hydroponic style gardens and in containers of all sizes. Feed 1 to 6 times a day depending on the size of your container. To decrease the feeding schedule, use a drain dish to catch run off. Decrease the fertilizer rate by 1/3 to 1/2 if there is no run off. It is also recommended that you water (pH Balanced) every third feeding. Be sure to supplement Calcium and Magnesium as coco soils use this at a higher rate. Also, adding bloom enhancers greatly increase your yield. Get Tupur!!
